I have been working as a physiotherapist since 2001 and have gained broad experience in this profession over the years. First I developed a preference for conscious relaxation and movement. Hand therapy was added later.

Do you have tension complaints? Then I first look for the cause. To let you relax consciously, I use techniques from the Dixhoorn method.

I also have a great interest in the mechanics of the hand and wrist. As a certified hand therapist, I am a member of the Dutch Hand Therapy Association (NVHT) and a member of a network. Why this passion for hands? I’m a detail person, I prefer to zoom in on the centimetre. My challenge is to create a suitable solution for each unique person.

Complaints can arise, for example, due to a cutting accident in the kitchen or with odd jobs, due to overload or wear and tear. I also guide you after an operation, but also, for example, if a splint is needed. Musicians are my special interest. Because of my own background as a professional musician, I understand what it means to be injured.

Over the years I have learned that no two people are the same. This keeps my profession alive, I love that diversity, I speak seven languages for a reason.’
