As a pelvic physiotherapist I treat the abdomen, pelvis and lower back. These can be pain complaints around pregnancy, but also involuntary loss of urine or stool. Chronic abdominal pain, prolapse complaints or sexual complaints are also part of this.

As a psychosomatic physiotherapist I treat complaints related to stress and tension. For example, headache, burnout, hyperventilation and panic attacks.

I myself really enjoy exercising in nature, such as walking and cycling. I also liked badminton, until I suffered a serious sports injury. A long period of rehabilitation followed. I then felt what it is like to be a patient myself. I still carry that experience with me when I treat people. That’s why I think it’s important to really listen to what patients have to say. After thirty years of working as a physiotherapist, I still think this is the best profession there is.

I think it is important that there is trust between you and me. That’s why I always take plenty of time for the first conversation. I will not only ask about your complaints, but also about social and psychological factors that may be of influence. Then we draw up a treatment plan together. You yourself play an active role in this.

The purpose of my physiotherapeutic treatment is a natural recovery of body and mind. Complaints are often caused by habits and behaviour. My intention is to give you handles, so that you do not fall back into old unwanted patterns.
