In 2008 I obtained my diploma Psychosomatic physiotherapist. Since then I have also been registered as such. From this specialization I look at the connection between body, mind and living environment. Many people have complaints related to stress, or complaints such as pain and fatigue. Their complaints are real and real, it is not an affectation, but a physical cause is not found. These complaints fall under the heading of ‘psychosomatic complaints’: physical complaints in which psychological and social factors play a role.
In 2015 I graduated as a Master Pelvic Physiotherapist. As a registered pelvic physiotherapist, I treat men and women with problems in the lower back, abdomen, pelvis and pelvic floor. For example, they lose urine or stool involuntarily, have an irrepressible urge to urinate or defecate or have difficulty passing stool.
People with a prolapse of the bladder, uterus or intestines and pain in the lower abdomen, groin or around the anus and genitals also come to me for treatment. This also applies to people who have had surgery in the lower abdomen. Finally, pelvic pain during pregnancy and childbirth belong to my specializations.
